On 1 March 2018, innovative and pioneering in this field, we included HLA typing in our panel of tests conducted on all our donors. Every cell in the human body has a number of elements called antigens that comprise the immune system. These molecules are responsible for external or transplanted cells, tissues or organs being recognised as foreign and even being rejected in case of incompatibility.
Our laboratory deciphers the HLA system of our donor providing the clinic with information on their genetic profile, making it possible to select a donor who is compatible with the recipient's HLA and KIR system or as similar as possible to guarantee sperm acceptance.
